Nagato has so much different powers and abilities that I get lost sometimes, so I don't want to imagine what a canon-blind person think when faced with him!

Here is a list of all his techniques. Or at least I think all of them are here?

  • Ninja techniques:
Tree walking: An exercise for baby ninjas and an ability all grown ninjas use. It allows them to walk on any solid surface, be it  ground, wall or ceiling. It's basically channeling energy to your feet/hands and sticking to the desired surface.

Water walking: Just a little bit harder than tree walking. Walking on water asks for great control in the influx of chakra you push into your feet, as water is always moving. Ninjas regularely run and/or fight on water

Enhaced leap: Ninja often push chakra in their legs to leap across distances. It's why they often travel by rooftops and trees rather than by streets and roads. They are kings of Parkour!

Pointy things throwing: pretty much everything is in the title. Nagato is skilled with kunais (ninja throwing knives) and regular shurikens.

Trap making: Give him some wire, one or two explosive tags, and Nagato can change his lawn into a landmine. He knows only the basic traps, though, so nobody should get killed.

Sensor: It's the ability to detect chakra or life energy. Nagato is not a good sensor, but he is quite adept at hiding his own chakra.

Taijutsu: The Martial Arts. If he wasn't crippled, Emo over there could give a good run for their money to any martial specialist.

Genjutsu: The Art of Illusions. Nagato sucks at it, and it's actually one of his weaknesses. He is not good with illusions, be it casting them or freeing himself from them.

Ninjutsu: The Ninja Arts, or elemental manipulation. Nagato can use Katon (Fire), Suiton (Water), Doton (Earth), Futon (Wind) and Raiton (Lightning). His favorite is Futon, though. Ninjutsu techniques are called 'Jutsu'

Fuinjutsu: The Art of Sealing. Used to make storage scrolls (used to store pretty much anything: food, tents, clothes, corpses...), explosive tags (Paper bomb.) and when the user is highly skilled, sealing demons, rooms, documents... Despite the familiarity of the members of his clan with seals, Nagato has never been taught and uses just the basics.

Shunshin: Also called 'body flicker'. It's a sudden acceleration in any direction the user wishes. It gives the impression the ninja is actually teleporting.

Bunshin: Create clones of the user. Basic clones are just illusions, but there are water clones, mud clones, explosive clones... Nagato uses shadow clones, solid replicas of the user but making just one is really energy consuming.

Henge: Create an illusion to make you look like someone/something else. Nagato sucks at it.

Permutation: Allows the ninja to trade location with an object in his line of sight.

  • Rinnegan or the powers granted to him by his eyes
Deva Path: Power over gravity, he can push or pull things and use some sort of telekinesis. His favorite power.

Ashura Path: Mechanization of his own body. It allows him to transform his hand into a cannon, or form a third arm, etc... Will be mostly used to temporarely overcome his handicap.

Animal Path: Nagato can summon lots of different animals to do his bidding. In his world, they are bigger than building and frankly terrifying. Elsewhere, they often are... small. Fluffy. And cute. Nagato is not sure he likes it. They all have the same eyes than their summoner though, and it allows him to see what they see. Animals summoned: a chameleon, an ox, a crab, a yak, a panda, a dog, a rhino, a bird and a centipede. Two centipedes. That were bigger than a four stories building. Yuk.
Those animals can't be killed, they just disappear and Nagato can re-summon them later.

Human Path: In his world, Nagato just yanks a soul out of its body and absorbs it, gaining all the memories of his victim and killing him/her on the spot. Elsewhere, it still allows him to read minds, but leave his target exhausted. There is a permission post for it! Nagato needs to touch his target on the forehead or chest for it to work, so he can't just take a peek incognito. You will always know it when he uses the Human Path on you.

Preta Path: Allows the user to absorb energy-based attacks. How much he absorbs will be decided by me and the mun of the other character!

Naraka Path: The Creepy path. Summons the King Of Hell and do weird things with it but it's of no importance, since Nagato won't be able to use that Path in Hadriel.

Outer Path: Can bring back the dead. Also nixed in Hadriel. And what the point of it, anyway? Nobody stay dead in there.

Control on the rain: It's not exactly a Rinnegan power, but I am pretty sure someone without it couldn't use that. Nagato can call the rain on a defined place and infuse every drop of water with his chakra. When a drop touches someone, he instantly knows where this person is and if it's someone he knows, who it is. In canon he can maintain it for days on a whole city: in Hadriel he will be able to call the rain only on half a district for half an hour.

Any offensive technique used will greatly tire Nagato, especially if it's one of his Paths abilities. So he shouldn't just wake up a morning and start a rampage across the city. Or at least I hope he won't.
